# DocFinder Privacy Notice

Effective: July 2026

DocFinder is designed as a local-first Windows application.

- Folder contents, image pixels, OCR text, classifications, and move history
  are processed on the computer running DocFinder.
- DocFinder does not include analytics, advertising, telemetry, user accounts,
  or cloud uploads.
- Normal scanning uses bundled components and is designed to work offline.
- A local scan cache and unfinished review choices may be stored in the current
  Windows user's application-data folder to make repeat scans faster and
  preserve review work. This data can include absolute file paths, file
  metadata, classification measurements, and selection states.
- Clicking the donation button opens https://supportamk.com/ in the default
  browser. That website is separate from DocFinder and may apply its own
  privacy practices.
- Uninstalling DocFinder does not delete organized files. Local application
  data is also retained by default so an uninstall cannot unexpectedly remove
  review information.

DocFinder does not contain a feature that uploads scanned files or scan results
to AMK. Users should avoid sharing installers from untrusted sources and should
keep backups of important files before moving them.
