Expense Home 2.2.2 Installation Guide

Requirements

- Android 6.0 or newer (API level 23 or newer).

Install the APK

1. Download Expense-Home-2.2.2-release.apk from the Expense Home page on
   supportamk.com.
2. Optional but recommended: verify the file's SHA-256 value:

   6CB9638D80517E7DC61E9F11340161B67D544EFE8E104F0935A3877BD2220C00

3. Open the downloaded APK from the browser, Downloads app, or file manager.
4. If Android asks, allow "Install unknown apps" for the app that opened it.
5. Review the installation screen and confirm that the app name is Expense
   Home before selecting Install.
6. Open the app and choose the visible file location for reports, receipts,
   recovery files, and backups. Complete the household setup afterward.
7. You may turn off the temporary "Install unknown apps" permission after
   installation.

Android or Play Protect may scan or warn about an application installed
outside Google Play. This is a signed, non-debuggable release APK with verified
v1 and v2 signature schemes. No Play approval or antivirus result is claimed.

Updating and moving from preview builds

Version 2.2.2 uses package com.amk.expensehome. A normal update signed with the
same production certificate is designed to retain data. If an older installed
copy uses a different debug certificate, Android cannot install this production
release over it. Create a verified backup, uninstall the debug build, install
2.2.2, reconnect the selected folder, and restore the backup.

Visible-file reminder

Visible reports, receipts, recovery files, and backups can remain after the app
is uninstalled. A selected cloud DocumentsProvider may synchronize them under
its own account and terms. Remove those copies separately when necessary.
