Expense Home Privacy Policy

Expense Home is provided by AMK. Version 2.2.2 applies to Android package
com.amk.expensehome.

Information processed

Expense Home processes household and member names, expense items, income
sources, categories, amounts, dates and times, monthly and yearly budgets,
recurring-bill schedules, compatible retained shopping records, optional
receipt images or PDFs, folder settings, and backup data entered, selected, or
restored by the user.

Local processing

The protected source database and app-managed files are stored inside Android
private app storage. Expense Home has no Internet permission, account, ads,
analytics, telemetry, tracking, developer server, bank connection, automatic
developer-controlled upload, or payment-processing feature. AMK does not
receive household records through the app.

Visible files and cloud providers

The user selects a visible location through Android's folder picker. Expense
Home maintains readable recovery data, original attachments, year/month
folders, Excel workbooks, receipt copies, indexes, and backups there. These
files are outside the app sandbox and are not separately encrypted by Expense
Home. A cloud DocumentsProvider may independently synchronize them under the
provider's own account and privacy terms.

System interfaces and sharing

Camera, gallery, document, folder, and sharing operations use Android system
interfaces. Expense Home requests neither camera nor broad-storage permission.
Reports and backups are sent to another application or provider only after a
user chooses a destination. Original, visible, cloud, and shared copies must be
managed separately.

Permissions

Notifications are used for optional recurring-bill reminders. Boot-completed
access lets the app reschedule local reminders after restart. Removing
notification access may prevent reminders from appearing.

Retention and deletion

Private data remains until the user deletes it, clears app storage, or
uninstalls. Transactions can remain in the Recycle Bin until permanently
deleted. Android automatic app backup and device-transfer backup are disabled.
Visible reports, receipt copies, recovery files, attachments, backups, cloud
copies, and shared files may remain after uninstalling and must be deleted
separately.

Optional support website

Expense Home is free. Donations are optional and unlock no features, badges,
rewards, content, or services. After confirmation, Donate opens
https://supportamk.com/ in an external browser. Expense Home does not receive
or store payment details. The website, browser, payment app, and provider apply
their own privacy practices.

Security and accuracy

Users should secure the device and visible folder, review each sharing target,
verify important records, and keep independent backups. Expense Home is a
manual record-keeping tool; it does not process payments, provide financial
advice, or guarantee the accuracy or recovery of records.
