HISABKIT PRIVACY POLICY Publisher: AMK / Support AMK Product: HisabKit for Windows Application identifier: com.supportamk.hisabkit Effective date: 1 August 2026 Applies to: HisabKit Windows version 1.2.0 HisabKit is a local-first Windows application for preparing and managing Indian business documents. It does not operate a cloud service for the business records entered in the Windows application. INFORMATION PROCESSED The user may enter or import business and brand names, addresses, states, email addresses, telephone numbers, GSTIN, PAN, bank information, company logo and authorised-signature images, customer or vendor information, document lines, HSN/SAC codes, quantities, rates, tax values, payment details, transport details, e-way-bill details, invoice references, notes, dates, and QR images. HisabKit also processes generated documents, revisions, audit and delivery events, PDF copies, backup files, and CA-export files. This information is processed to provide the document, calculation, record-keeping, backup, restoration, PDF, and export functions requested by the user. LOCAL STORAGE HisabKit asks the user to choose a permanent data location and creates or uses a dedicated HisabKit Data folder. It contains the database, automatic backup files, and preserved PDF revisions organised by financial year, month, and document type. A small data-location.json preference file is stored in the current Windows user's application-data area. It records the selected folder path and when the selection was updated. Downloaded PDF copies default to Downloads\HisabKit PDFs. Manual backups and CA-review ZIP files also default to Downloads. The user may select another location in the Windows Save dialog. The database, selected data folder, and exported JSON, ZIP, Excel, CSV, image, and PDF files are not encrypted by HisabKit. They receive the protection provided by the Windows account, file permissions, device security, and any storage encryption enabled by the user. INTERNET AND EXTERNAL SERVICES Core billing, local storage, PDF, backup, and CA-export functions do not require an internet connection. Version 1.2.0 has no HisabKit account, advertising SDK, behavioural analytics, telemetry, tracking, or automatic cloud synchronization. Selecting Support HisabKit opens https://supportamk.com/ in the default web browser. That website is separate from the desktop application and has its own privacy practices. Donations are voluntary, handled outside HisabKit, and do not unlock features. HisabKit does not automatically email, upload, or transmit a CA export. It creates a local ZIP only after the user requests an export. The user decides whether, how, and to whom the file is shared. A chosen email, messaging, cloud-storage, or file-transfer provider applies its own privacy terms. DISCLOSURE AMK does not receive, sell, rent, or share business records stored by the HisabKit Windows application. Information leaves the local device only when the user independently copies, uploads, backs up, or shares a file, or visits an external website such as Support AMK. RETENTION, DELETION, AND UNINSTALLING Documents may be archived and restored. HisabKit retains up to 30 managed automatic backup files in the selected data folder and removes older managed automatic backups as new ones are created. Manually exported backups, PDFs, CA packages, and copies remain until the user deletes them. Uninstalling HisabKit does not automatically delete the selected HisabKit Data folder or exported files. A user who wants to remove all information must make any required legal or business backup, uninstall the application, and then manually delete the selected data folder, exports, and remaining HisabKit application-data files. USER RESPONSIBILITIES Users are responsible for obtaining any consent required to record or share another person's or organisation's information and for applying suitable access, retention, tax, accounting, and backup controls. HisabKit is a document-preparation utility, not tax, accounting, or legal advice. Users must verify tax treatment, statutory fields, documents, exports, and filing requirements before relying on them.
