HisabKit Privacy Policy

Information processed by HisabKit

You may enter company and brand information, addresses, contact details, GSTIN, PAN, bank details, logos, signatures, customers, suppliers, document items, HSN/SAC details, GST rates, payment and dispatch information, invoice QR images, notes, revisions, audit events, and other business records.

HisabKit uses this information to create the documents, calculations, PDFs, backups, reports, and monthly accountant packages you request. It does not use those records for advertising or behavioural profiling.

Android storage

The Android application stores its live SQLite database and working files in Android-protected app storage. It can create timestamped internal recovery backups after committed changes. If you choose a visible records folder through Android’s folder picker, it writes backups, preserved PDFs, and monthly CA packages to that location.

A selected location may be phone storage, an SD card, or a third-party DocumentsProvider. If you select a cloud provider, that provider may process or synchronise the files under its own terms. AMK does not receive a copy merely because you selected a folder or shared a file.

Windows storage

The Windows application stores its database, automatic backups, and preserved PDF revisions in the HisabKit Data folder you select. A small data-location.json preference under the current Windows account records that folder path. PDFs, manual backups, and CA packages default to Downloads unless you choose another destination.

HisabKit does not add application-level encryption to the selected data folder or exported JSON, ZIP, Excel, CSV, image, database, and PDF files. Protect the device, Windows account, storage locations, and backup copies appropriately.

Backups, exports, and sharing

HisabKit creates local recovery files and can generate PDFs, complete exports, and monthly CA packages. On Android, sharing opens the system share sheet or folder picker. On Windows, export and Save dialogs let you choose the destination. The service or person you select receives the file only because you requested that action.

No backup method can guarantee recovery. Keep at least one verified, independently protected copy outside the live application storage and check exported packages before relying on or sending them.

Internet use and external services

Core billing, document, backup, and reporting features work without an internet connection. HisabKit has no account system, advertising, analytics, behavioural tracking, or developer-controlled record sync.

Selecting Support HisabKit opens supportamk.comin a browser. A service you deliberately select for sharing or storage may also use the internet. Those applications, providers, and websites operate under their own privacy policies.

Android permissions

The Android release declares Internet access for user-triggered external content, vibration, and compatibility-limited storage permissions through Android 12L. Modern Android versions use the system photo and folder pickers. HisabKit does not request camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, or overlay access.

Retention, archive, and uninstalling

HisabKit archives and restores business records instead of offering permanent deletion inside the application. Android protected data is normally removed when app storage is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Files in a visible folder or another provider remain until you remove them separately.

Uninstalling the Windows application does not automatically remove the selected HisabKit Data folder, manual exports, PDFs, or CA packages. Retain records for as long as legally or operationally required, then delete every remaining copy from its storage location.

Security and user responsibility

Android sandboxing and operating-system file permissions provide platform protection, but files deliberately exported outside private storage may be readable to anyone with access to that device, account, folder, or provider. Use a strong device sign-in, appropriate storage encryption, restricted access, and careful sharing practices.

Business, GST, and professional review

HisabKit is a document-preparation and record-keeping utility. It does not file GST returns and does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice. Verify identifiers, tax rates, calculations, statutory fields, filing treatment, documents, and exports before relying on them.

Voluntary donations

HisabKit is free. Donations are voluntary, are handled outside the application through Support AMK, and do not unlock features or change access to business records. The app does not receive or store payment credentials.
