Alarm permissions

Android settings affect reminder delivery.

Allow notifications, exact alarms, and full-screen alerts for the strongest reminder experience. The app uses a foreground service, wake lock, vibration, and boot-completed access to help sound alarms and restore schedules after a restart.

Phone manufacturers may still delay or suppress alarms because of battery restrictions, notification settings, system updates, time changes, or app force-stop behavior. Never depend on one app as the only reminder for critical medication.

Med Alarm is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a condition, prescribe medicine, choose a dose, check interactions, or provide emergency care. Enter schedules exactly as directed by your clinician, pharmacist, or medicine label.

Do not start, stop, skip, repeat, or double a dose based only on the app. Contact an appropriate medical professional or local emergency service if you need urgent help.

Lock-screen privacy

Alarm details may be visible nearby.

Full-screen alarms and public alarm notifications can display a medicine name, amount, notes, and optional photo while the phone is locked. Consider this before adding sensitive information or leaving the device where others can see it.

Deleting the app or clearing its storage removes its local data. See the privacy policy for more detail about medicine records, photos, and retained history entries.
