Alarm reliability

Android settings still matter.

Allow exact alarms and notifications, and follow the in-app battery guidance if your phone delays alarms. Android does not reliably expose the power button to ordinary apps, so turning the screen off does not silence an Azaan.

Use a volume button, the lock-screen Mute control, or the notification Silence action. Prayer calculations can vary by method and local convention, so compare the chosen settings with your trusted local timetable.

Privacy by design

Your prayer settings stay on your device.

  • No account, advertising, analytics, or tracking SDK
  • GPS is optional and requested only when you choose it
  • Prayer settings, bookmarks, and location are stored locally
  • Backup files are created and controlled by you

Online recitations

Quran audio services are used only when you request them.

Quran text is included for offline reading. Streaming, refreshing the reciter catalogue, and downloading recitations contact mp3quran.net servers. Those services receive ordinary network request information such as your IP address.
